This came in the mail today, in an unassuming looking envelope.

I got it from eBay, won an auction for a 16GB SDHC Class 6 card for USD $14.06. Cheap! Comparatively, Singapore prices were around SGD$25 for an 8GB equivalent card. It is however not branded and no warranty coverage, but don’t think such memory cards can spoil that easily. Anyway, the SD Card is going into my Netbook and staying there. I have been shopping for quite a few things online recently, and still waiting for 2 more big packages from Dealextreme and Focalprice to come.. can’t wait!

good Deal

Lazy Sunday morning, the usual tired but can't sleep, so went around finding things to read, had heard some stuff with regards to Fate/Stay Night, so was reading up the Wikipedias and other links, hmm not bad, there was a subplot hidden within the anime and it was quite interesting to read it now and thinking of the hints that were dropped in the show. The anime was evolved from a Hentai game and wow, reading up the Wiki on it made me impressed that a sex game actually have multiple story arcs (3), and each of them uniquely different from one another to be interesting on its own, without the sex element coming into play. The story that got me interested was about time paradoxes which is seemingly popping up everywhere, be in Heroes, Time Traveller's Wife, End of Eternity and even an anime such as this. Guess many of us are not satisfied with the present to warrant a wish to step into the past, to modify what was once there, or to determine the future...

From there, with the Transformers movie coming, went on to read about Transformers through wiki as well. Well, a little nostalgia tends to set in as rows of the new movie memorabilia/toys start to line up the shelves. It was like, the best cartoon then! and erm.. ever! Launched on 1984, the year that we were born, it had like 3 or 4 seasons, a movie, tons of toys.. which were really the best, haha. There were subsequent stories or spin offs, beast wars, 2000, and all the Japanese versions but the original season was definitely the best. My favourite character.. Optimus Prime, a bit boring la, being the Autobot leader and all, but erm, still the most cool / composed / zai / best looking!

... 21st Century Look ...

Still prefer the old chunky robot version as opposed to the more organic looking prime now. Even the classic generation 1 toy still bear close similarity to the cartoon version, but the recent Takara release really looks the best. Well, the movie version of Prime doesn't look all that bad, at least still recognisable as perhaps compared to megatron, who's ermm, totally different? A new interpretation of the classic cartoon, still a must watch to relive some of the childhood memories.

Nice? Haha.. my old bedsheet is just so cool. Sesame Street, still can see all the popular characters. There are 6 Sesame Street characters on the bedsheet, hmm, most of the popular ones are there, those lacking will be Kermit, the Count.. and hmm.. Argh. I didn't even liked the show last time, hated it, it was so very boring, would rather they show some cartoons instead. The blanket is probably even more kua zhang, ULTRAMAN. That's a permanent feature on my bed as opposed to the bed sheet which does get rotated with some erm, less cartoony ones from time to time.

All my bed accessories has lasted me so long, some probably even outlived me. Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end.

The "new" photo comes out so bland and washed out! Not going to bother retaking though.

Time to ring in the change, my dad got me a quilt cover. He bought it after I just casually mentioned it in passing, ahh...

It can be a tad too warm though, especially with my room occasionally resembling that of an oven. But its all soft and fuzzy and most importantly, nice to sleep on top of too! For those nights where tucking under is just too unbearable. The pillows are changed as well, so goodbye to those older than me pillows which have gone a little limp and less and less comfortable.

sleeping Haven

The things that define me! My Star Wars collection was assembled 8 years ago, after the launch of the new trilogy and was a time to relive my childhood and perhaps to emphasize my support for the movies.

With a little pocket money and the phantom menace fever, I started my Star Wars collection - buying 3 3/4 figurines from scalpers, collectible shops etc. That was the first exposure to the Clarke Quay flea market and also shops such as The Falcon's Hanger (TFH).

Thinking back, the whole star wars saga did had a large impact on me when I was young, it was a movie, a universe that was so well developed that I could delve into it and create my own fantasy - through dioramas. The first picture shows a printed Jawa Sandcrawler - via papercraft. It was a great sense of achievement as you put the whole vehicle together. Btw, I was 14-15 at that time :).
